Professional Stump Grinding Services
When a tree is removed, its stump and roots remain behind. Though some may believe that they are just an unsightly eye sore, the reality is that stumps can be hazardous to the overall health of your property. Tree stumps are known to be homes to unwanted pests like termites, beetles, and ants. Stumps have been known to spread diseases to healthy trees, even after the tree is removed. Dead tree roots have been known to damage concrete driveways and sidewalks, and can also be dangerous to pedestrians. Luckily, Stump Grinding is an affordable way of getting rid of stumps before they can cause harm.

Not all tree companies have the right equipment to properly and safely grind a stump. Most of the time, they leave the stump behind because proper removal requires special equipment. Orlando Driveway has a full time stump grinder that is available to remove any stumps from your property. Because stumps and roots are major contributors to driveway and sidewalk concrete damage, we ensure every stump is properly ground so that your new concrete work is protected.
Orlando Driveway offers stump grinding services for all types of trees and can grind 12-18 inches below the surface of your yard to ensure a level area prime for planting new vegetation. We also perform a full clean-up, removing all wood chips and debris caused by the grinding process.
How Does Stump Grinding Work?
When our team is ready to remove a stump, we bring in a piece of equipment called a stump grinder. This maneuverable machine can fit through tight yard doors and minimizes damage to your lawn. When the machine is in position, the grinding process begins. Slowly, the machine grinds 1 to 4 inch pieces of the stump into tiny shavings down to a depth of 16 inches. Once the stump is ground down below the surface, we further grind about 6-12 inches around the stump to allow for more space, assuming no other obstructions.
After the stump grinding process is complete, the stump is removed and a pile of wood chips and mulch are left behind. We use most of the mulch to fill in the hole and remove the extra so that your newly ground stump is level with your yard. If requested, we can remove all of the mulch from your property and leave a hole in the ground for you to fill with soil and even plant a new tree!
Whether you want a stump removed from your commercial property or residence, we can handle your project. Our stump removal service is fully qualified and insured so you can have the peace of mind knowing that every job we perform is up to the highest standard.
